How to Use

Putting your Wildroot™ collar on takes under a minute.

Step 1. Remove the collar from its sealed pouch. The seal locks in the plant actives, so the eight-month timer only starts once the pouch is opened.

Step 2. Slide the collar through the buckle and place it around your pet's neck.

Step 3. Adjust the fit so two fingers fit comfortably between the collar and your pet's neck. Snug, not tight.

Step 4. Trim the excess length with scissors and tuck the end through the loop holder.

Step 5. That's it! Replace every eight months for continuous protection.

Sizing Information

Wildroot™ is one-size-adjustable for each pet type, no measuring required.

Dog Collar. Adjusts up to 63cm (24.8 inches). Fits puppies, small breeds, medium breeds, and large breeds. Trim to size.

Cat Collar. Adjusts up to 38cm (14.9 inches). Fits kittens through adult cats of all breeds. Trim to size.

Quick fit check. Once fastened, you should be able to slide two fingers between the collar and your pet's neck. If you cannot, it is too tight. If more than two fingers fit, take in the slack a notch.

If you are between pets and want one for each, the dog collar will not fit a cat; the materials are calibrated separately, with the cat formula at feline-safe concentrations. Choose Pet Type at checkout.

Shipping Information

Free shipping on orders over $50. Orders under that ship at a flat rate calculated at checkout.

Orders process in 1 to 3 business days, then ship from our U.S. fulfillment center. A tracking number is emailed to you the moment your order leaves the warehouse, so you can follow it the whole way.

Most orders arrive in 4 to 7 business days from the date you order.

Returns & Refunds

Shop with confidence. Wildroot™ is backed by our 60-day money-back guarantee, no forms, no fine print, no questions asked. Try the collar on your pet, watch it work, and decide on your own timeline whether it earned its place in your home.

If it did not, just email us at hello@wildrootpet.com within 60 days of delivery and we will walk you through the return. You do not need to send back an unopened box, a perfect package, or a long explanation. We trust your judgment, that is why the guarantee exists in the first place.

The promise is simple. If Wildroot™ does not work for your pet, you do not pay for it.

The Cycle Stops

Lavender oil interferes with the signals fleas rely on to bite, feed, and lay eggs. No eggs, no second wave, no re-infestation loop.

One Collar Fits All

Puppy to great dane, kitten to maine coon. Buckle it, trim the excess, done.

Fewer Vet Visits

Prevention is cheaper than treatment. One collar quietly does the job that used to take a calendar full of reminders.

Stop Paying Monthly

About $5 a month, once. No refills, no subscriptions, nothing to rebuy until next year.

  • Citronella Oil

What it does: Disrupts the heat and scent signals fleas and ticks use to find your pet, so they keep moving instead of biting.
Safety: Safe for dogs and cats at the concentration used in Wildroot.

  • Lavender Oil

What it does: Interferes with the nervous-system signals fleas and ticks rely on to bite, feed, and lay eggs.
Safety: Generally well-tolerated by dogs and cats. Many pets find the scent calming.

  • Linalool

What it does: Naturally occurring compound found in lavender, basil, and rosewood. Penetrates the outer shell of fleas and ticks while staying safe.
Safety: Generally well-tolerated by dogs and cats.

How It Works: The Band Is the Breakthrough

Old natural collars spray the oils onto cheap plastic. They flash off in weeks, and the protection dies with them.

Wildroot bonds the oils into a medical-grade band. His own body heat releases a small, steady dose every day, like a transdermal patch built for plants.

No spike. No fade. 8 full months, rain, mud, and every swim included.

MONTH 1 MONTH 8 SPRAYED-ON COLLARS & SPOT-ONS WILDROOT BODY-HEAT RELEASE

Sprayed-on vs. bonded-in. That's the entire natural-collar industry, explained.

On in a Minute. Done for 8 Months.

Unroll and Buckle

Fits necks from puppy to great dane. Trim the excess with scissors.

2

Two Fingers of Space

Snug enough to touch the coat, loose enough to slip two fingers under.

3

That's It

Waterproof, swim-proof, no reapplying, no monthly anything. Set a reminder for month 8.

For Cats: The Breakaway Buckle

Cats climb, squeeze, and snag. The cat collar uses a safety-release buckle that opens under sudden pull, so she can never be caught by it. Protection that holds onto fleas, never onto her.

The Topical Drop Routine

No more wrestling your dog still on the kitchen floor once a month, holding the fur apart, and watching greasy liquid soak into his skin. One collar, set it once, done for eight months.

The 2 a.m. Review Spiral

No more reading horror stories about seizures, hair loss, and emergency vet visits before you decide what to put on your dog. Wildroot's full ingredient list is three plants. There is nothing left to spiral over.

The Quiet Trade-Off

No more accepting that "real" flea protection has to come with a little vomiting, a little shaking, or a little hair loss. Those were never acceptable side effects. They are not part of this collar.

The Two-Sided Sleeping Arrangement

No more keeping your dog off the bed because of what is rubbing off on the sheets. No more scrubbing your toddler's hands after she pets him. The collar is on the outside of his fur, and it stays there.

What Wildroot Quietly Replaces

Most pet parents stack three or four products to get through flea season, a chemical collar, a topical drop, a chewable, a flea spray for the house. Wildroot™ is built to make most of that pile unnecessary. Here is what it actually replaces in a typical home.

Read the label out loud to my daughter

"I have been the mom buying Branch Basics and reading every soap label since
she was born. So when Wildroot showed up with three plant ingredients on the
back, I read them out loud to her in the kitchen. Three plants. That was it."

    Megan R.

My toddler is the real reviewer

"My two-year-old is in our dog's fur six times a day. With the old chemical collar I was washing his hands every time. With Wildroot I just stopped worrying about it. He has not had a reaction, the dog has not had a tick."

    Diana L.

  • ★★★★★

Finally not buying a new one every month

"I was buying a 'natural' collar every six to eight weeks because the smell
would just disappear. Wildroot has been on my golden for almost six months
and the bugs still steer clear. The math on this thing alone is wild."

    Jenna K.

Caution: Before Any “Natural” Collar

Most natural flea collars are scented plastic. The oils are sprayed on and evaporate in 2 to 3 weeks, long before the fleas give up.

If a cheap collar promises 8 months, ask one thing: how are the oils held? If the listing won’t say, you already have your answer.

Ours: bonded into a medical-grade band, released by body heat. It’s on every box.

Free Tip, Whether You Buy or Not

Fleas live in the home, not just on the dog. Whatever collar you pick, wash pet bedding hot the week you start, and vacuum the corners where he sleeps. You’ll cut the reinfestation loop in half.

Chapter 5 of our free Field Guide covers the full home protocol.

Honest Answers to the Questions You Are Actually Asking

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Wildroot™ strong enough to handle real fleas and ticks? I live somewhere pests are heavy.

Yes. The three-oil formulation has been used in professional insect repellent applications for years. What has changed is the delivery. Bonding the actives into the TPE matrix keeps them at effective concentrations for the full 8 months, including during heavy pest seasons in the Southeast, the Midwest, and the Pacific Northwest.

Does it actually kill fleas, or does it just repel them?

Wildroot™ is designed to repel, deter, and disrupt. Fleas and ticks that come into contact with the collar's active zone are disoriented, cannot locate your pet's heat and scent signals, and in most cases never bite. This is the mechanism the EPA recognizes for minimum-risk botanical repellents, and it is how your grandmother kept her kitchen clear of ants with basil on the windowsill.

Is it really waterproof? My dog swims.

Yes. The oils are bonded into the TPE matrix, not coated on the surface. The collar can be fully submerged and returns to active release as it dries. Bath time, swim time, rainy walks, and lake weekends do not reset the timer.

My vet is going to say this is nonsense. What do I tell her?

You can tell her that essential-oil repellents are recognized by the EPA under its minimum-risk pesticide program, that multiple holistic veterinary practices routinely recommend them, and that you are not willing to take another round of chemical collar risk after what you have read. A good vet will respect a pet parent who has done her homework. If she does not, you have learned something useful about your vet.

What about ticks, mosquitoes, and biting flies?

Wildroot™ is formulated to repel fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes. It is not effective against internal parasites such as heartworm, and it is not a replacement for a heartworm preventative if you live in a heartworm-endemic area. For external biting pests, one collar does the work.

Is it safe for cats? For nursing mothers? For pets with sensitive skin?

The concentrations used in Wildroot™ are calibrated to be safe for dogs, cats, nursing animals, and pets with sensitive skin. The TPE base itself is hypoallergenic and contains no latex, no nickel, and no common contact allergens. That said, every animal is an individual. If you see any skin reaction in the first 48 hours, take the collar off, give your pet a bath, and email us. We will refund you.

How is the smell?

Pleasant, but faint. Wildroot™ does not smell like a citronella candle. The release is slow and even, and most owners describe the scent as a light herbal background note they stop noticing after the first day. Your dog will not smell like a spa. He will smell like himself, slightly herbal.

What if it does not work for my pet?

You send us an email within 60 days. We refund you, collar returned or not. No forms, no phone calls, no runaround. The full guarantee stands.

Why is Wildroot more expensive than a generic natural collar on Amazon?

Because the generic natural collars on Amazon are the ones that failed you the last time. We use medical-grade TPE instead of cheap fabric. We use therapeutic-grade oils infused throughout the matrix instead of sprayed on the outside. We make the collar in the United States. And we back it with a real guarantee. Those choices cost more. They also make it work.
